Heritage Preservation Initiatives
The Heritage
Theatre Company has, as one of
its many goals, to preserve our heritage. Whether it be historical, literary, or theatrical, we aim to uniquely
preserve these genres for future generations.
To
the extent where we are permitted, this can mean in the form of oral histories of the various historic figures depicted in
our productions (if still living) or of the dramatists, public forums, video archiving, scholarly research, and partnering
with and involving high schools and colleges (History, Film and Television, Sociology, Science, and Theatre departments) in
meeting educational requirements and qualifications (through reports and presentations) leading to program graduation.
We are also actively seeking to partner with historic
and heritage preservation organizations both at the Federal and State level where we can provide programming to further our
mutual goals in preserving our historic heritage. Government agencies and both public and private organizations are most
welcome to phone us at 301.770-9080.
